The Danville Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1967
and is comprised of over sixty talented musicians led by J eremy Swerling, Music Director and Conductor. We enrich the eastern Illinois and western Indiana communities with four concerts held in the Danville High School Auditorium
and two youth concerts for area schools each year as well as the occasional special event.

Satchmo, Fats & The Duke October 9, 2010 - 7:30 pm Danville High
School Auditorium Trumpet virtuoso Byron Stripling serves up a gripping performance
of the best from the playbooks of jazz legends Duke Ellington, Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong. Concertgoers will enjoy standards
such as: It Don't Mean A Thing; Birth Of The Blues; I'm Confessin' That I LoveYou; Sweet Georgia Brown and many more.

At Home For Christmas December 11, 2010 - 3:30 pm Danville High
School Auditorium Margaret Carlson brings a warm, easy, at-home feeling to Christmas
as she presents her variation on traditional Christmas melodies with the Danville Symphony Orchestra. Joining her on stage
will be her pianist Scott Stephenson for an afternoon holiday concert to remember.
